Founded in 1845 by Jules Lachaume, Maison Lachaume has been synonymous with elegance, creativity, and refinement in the world of floristry for over a century. As the favored florist of Napoleon III’s court and a cultural icon in Paris, Lachaume continues to serve European royalty, haute couture figures, and renowned artists from its historic boutique on rue Royale. Today, under the leadership of Stéphanie Primet and Caroline Cnocquaert, the brand’s legacy thrives, combining tradition with modern artistry.
Team YYT reimagined the Lachaume website, combining sophisticated design with cutting-edge functionality to create a fully revamped online store. The result is a digital experience that not only preserves Lachaume’s storied history and exclusivity but also opens new opportunities for growth in the online space.
For our client Lachaume, we aimed to create a luxurious yet restrained modern look and feel. After carefully curating Shopify store themes that met these criteria, we collaborated closely with Lachaume to finalize the selection. The overall theme design was centered around a white and black color palette to complement Lachaume's new logo.
Homepage: We utilized large, authentic imagery in a sliding hero banner to immerse customers and capture their attention.
Product Listings: All product listings featured packshots and authentic images with hover effects, designed to enhance product understanding and increase click-through rates.
Category Pages: Each category page maintained a cohesive hero design along with an introduction, ensuring consistency across the entire site.
Product Pages: At the client’s request, we developed a compact layout with only essential information, allowing a clean and focused look where the product itself takes center stage.
About & Store Pages: These pages were built in a card-style format, combining images and text to allow a smooth scrolling experience that keeps the reader engaged in Lachaume’s story.

A unique feature is the Fresh Flowers calendar, which we have implemented as a clever solution created specifically for online floral deliveries. This functionality allows customers to select specific delivery dates and times for their fresh flower purchases directly in the cart.
This feature ensures the freshness of the flowers and customer satisfaction by making delivery schedules. Through this calendar, the website effectively manages logistics and customer expectations, making it a must-feature in the floral industry.
To target not only French customers but also a global audience, Lachaume wanted to offer content in both French and English. We integrated a language switcher in the navigation and footer, allowing users to easily toggle between languages. Additionally, we implemented a currency switcher, enabling transactions in three currencies—USD, EUR, and GBP—so customers can shop seamlessly.
This enhancement ensures that Lachaume’s diverse international clientele can better engage with the brand and products in their preferred language and currency.
To enhance the customer experience and streamline Lachaume’s store management, we developed a dynamic system to display shipping availability and costs based on product categories and destinations. By utilizing Shopify plugins and various apps, we ensured that customers receive accurate shipping information in real time.
This integration not only elevated the overall online shopping experience but also simplified the management of Lachaume’s online store, making operations more efficient and tailored to customer needs.
