We redeveloped Deli Kitchen’s website as part of a wider brand refresh, working alongside a design agency to launch the new digital experience in time for a major TV and billboard advertising campaign.

With the content team regularly publishing new products, recipes and campaign content, the project focused on creating a faster, more flexible site that could support the brand launch while making day-to-day content management much easier.

01WordPress to Next.js migration

We rebuilt Deli Kitchen's site from the ground up, moving from WordPress to a Next.js and Contentful stack. The migration was timed to launch alongside the brand's major refresh and advertising campaign, including TV adverts and billboards, meaning the new site needed to be fast, reliable, and ready to handle a spike in traffic from day one.

02Reusable content blocks

Using the new visual identity created by the design agency, we developed a library of reusable, modular content blocks within Contentful.

Rather than relying on developers to create every new page, the content team can combine these blocks to build product pages, campaign landing pages and other content as needed. The system gives them flexibility while ensuring layouts and styling remain consistent across the site.

03Product & recipe content model

Products and recipes sit at the heart of Deli Kitchen’s site, with the team regularly adding and updating both. We created a custom Contentful content model around this workflow, including structured fields for ingredients, methods and imagery, as well as relationships between products and their associated recipes.

This makes content quicker to create, easier to reuse and more consistent across the site, while giving the team a much more streamlined publishing workflow than their previous WordPress setup.

04Brand refresh collaboration

The rebuild was developed in step with a full brand refresh led by a design agency, including new packaging, tone of voice, and visual identity. We translated the new brand system into the website's design language and component library, ensuring the site launched in sync with Deli Kitchen's wider campaign across TV and out-of-home advertising.

05Campaign landing pages

The flexible Contentful setup also gives Deli Kitchen the freedom to create richer campaign experiences as the brand evolves. One example is the Curious Kids Club, a campaign created in partnership with ReThink Food to help children build confidence around food.

We built the campaign page using the same modular system as the rest of the site, bringing together editorial content, recipes, downloadable resources and imagery in a dedicated landing page while keeping everything consistent with the wider Deli Kitchen brand.
